To provide leadership, management oversight and quality control for multiple client projects. Work with Principals to grow practice, enhance client relationships and build staff. Develop client engagements focusing on their recognized expertise in one or more of REG's business lines. Serve as mentor to one or more Staff and complete performance appraisals on a regular basis. This position facilitates the operational function of the business by ensuring that project managers and consulting staff are completing projects to clients' and Firm's satisfaction.
Senior Managers are expected to provide leadership and exercise quality assurance over numerous projects simultaneously. Frequently this will require "upward" liaison with Principals as well as “downward” liaison with Managers and Consultant staff. Senior Managers are also expected to focus on "outward facing" initiatives to develop meaningful relationships with client executives and become known throughout the industry as an expert on regulatory matters. Senior Managers will work with Principals to facilitate development of staff and monitor progress.
This position is not entry-level and requires extensive industry expertise and a deep knowledge of consulting/professional services, as well as experience at business development related to selling services and value. Although not impossible to enter this position from outside the organization, an applicant could only enter as a Senior Manager if he/she has extensive industry experience and brings a substantial level of expert knowledge and a personal client book. More likely, the Senior Manager is a Project Manager who has been promoted based on industry-recognized expertise as the premier source of information on a particular subject or line of business for REG. Additionally, the Project Manager would need to have successfully and consistently managed a number of complex projects for clients with exceptional results and have developed and grown multiple cross-selling and annuity relationships with existing.
