In supporting the direction and goals of the Firm, the consultant role is charged with completing consulting work for client engagements. The objective of the position is to complete data analysis in support of reports that are delivered to clients. Consultant typically works under supervision of the Manager (or Senior Manager or Senior Consultant) in charge of the client engagement.
This is an entry-level position. Success will typically require strong quantitative skills, and familiarity with Excel, Word, Power Point and other Windows based tools. Academic training and/or work experience should include disciplines such as accounting, economics, finance or engineering to provide strong analytical skills. However, it is expected that there will be significant on-the-job training to the specific technical requirements for analysis of regulatory issues and the parameters by which our clients measure success. Accordingly, the successful Consultant is expected to seek opportunities to improve their skills and to learn about the Firm, its industry and clients.
The primary contributions of the role are the effective analysis of data and support of whatever client-engagement related tasks are determined necessary by the leader of that engagement. It is possible to start in this position with a degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or mathematics, and some level of experience in a professional services Firm or consulting can be helpful to the successful execution of the role.
